HOW IT WORKS: This is a valet parking service. Drive to the drop-off point at the address indicated on your reservation and the valet company staff will take charge of your vehicle, taking it to be parked in their guarded car park in the outskirts of Amsterdam, where it will remain until you ask for it to be returned.
Remember! This is just the meeting point where the driver will collect your vehicle :)
Staying or visiting the museum & fashion area, just around the corner from Vondelpark? This area has a lot to offer, from relaxation to some of the most famous artworks in the world to the most high-end fashion street in Amsterdam.
I think we’re off to a pretty good start, but there’s more where that came from!
A lot of people would tell you that parking in Amsterdam is basically impossible and they’d be right… Until now! With our valet you can arrive at Park Hotel Amsterdam where a professional driver will be waiting to take your car off your hands and away to a secure car park just outside the city centre. Amsterdam and its many attractions are at your mercy!
As wonderful as the artworks are, a change of scenery is always welcome.
If it’s museums you’re after, you couldn’t really place yourself any better. It is just round the corner from the Museumplein, where the best of Amsterdam’s museums have all decided to meet up and form the ultimate cultural team! The Rijksmuseum covers Vermeer, Rembrandt and many others. The Stedelijk modern and contemporary art and the Van Gogh speaks for itself really.
If you’re legs are refusing to go on you can sit down in the big grassy area in the middle of Museumplein and just take a few minutes, or hours, to yourself. Another relaxation option is the Vondelpark, with its huge green expanses, lakes and cafes it is a little – actually quite large - slice of heaven!
We could go on for hours describing the area but we think we will let you discover it for yourself. In short, the must-sees are the Royal Concertgebouw, the Hard Rock Café, Paradiso, Leidseplein and Melkweg. Finally, you could pamper yourself in the Van Baerle Shopping Gallery or walk around on P.C. Hoofstraat.
◊ Move around
The closest tram station is Rijksmuseum, on lines 2 and 5 to the central station, where you can catch a whole range of buses as well, to get you into the centre. Or you can get into the local mind-set and opt for the bicycle!
