HOW IT WORKS: This is a valet parking service. Drive to the pick-up point at the address indicated on your booking and the valet parking company staff will pick up your vehicle and take it to a nearby public car park in Amsterdam, where it will remain until you request for it to be returned.
And remember! This is just the meeting point with the driver who will pick up your vehicle :)
We are well aware that parking near the Van Gogh Museum is by no means easy so, to help you avoid the struggle of finding a parking space in this busy area, we recommend our valet service. You can opt for a 6-hour or 12-hour stay or, alternatively, a full day, for as many as 30 days. So, whether you are just here to see the sunflowers, planning a full day trip or lucky enough to be here for longer, we are here to give you the perfect start to the journey! Simply, drive straight to the Van Gogh Museum and a professional driver will take care of your car, moving it to a safe and secure, guarded car park just outside of the city centre. Parking in Amsterdam has never been so easy!
Opened in 1973, the Van Gogh was instantly up there with the top museums of the world. The majority of us know the basics about this great painter but if you really want to gain a deeper understanding about the thoughts, motivations and ambitions of the man, this is the place to be. With its hundreds of paintings, drawings and letters, we are able to get an insight into the life of this artist, who never settled and was constantly striving to improve.
The museum was expanded in 1999 and given a full makeover in 2013 to ensure a uniquely modern and attractive experience. As well as many of Van Gogh’s works, the collection includes others from artists that inspired him and to whom he provided inspiration, showing us the extent of his influence which is still relevant today!
Having taken your journey through the life and work of old Vincent, you might feel like seeing a bit more of what Museumplein has to offer. On your doorstep are a whole selection of other museums, including the Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk and the Moco, a tribute to the mystery and creativity of the anonymous Banksy. At the bottom of the square is the Royal Concertgebouw for the best classical music in the capital. If you feel more like relaxing you can lounge on the grass in the middle of the square or go for a quick paddle in the water and take your obligatory photo, posing by the ‘iamsterdam’ sign!
Reserve your parking in advance and just focus on maximising your enjoyment!
