As can be expected a military parade takes place on the 14th of July on Avenue des Champs-Elysées. The city also hosts the Marché de Noël in December. Elsewhere, the Nuit Blanche focuses on art is also held in Paris each year.
In addition, many exhibitions are held in Paris and some are free such as those in the Jardins du Luxembourg, on the Champ-de-Mars or the Champs-Elysées. As for international trade shows, over 400 are held each year.
