Where to park in Sant Antoni

Sant Antoni is a very popular district in central Barcelona. Here you will find numerous bars and fantastic restaurants, which are bound to make an unforgettable evening. The market characterises this area perfectly and really isn’t to be missed! Here you can find stalls selling old books and the most beautiful antiques.

As you might expect, finding somewhere to park in such a busy area isn’t easy. The dense inner-city traffic and the lack of public parking spaces makes the search really tough. Plus, you have to bare in mind the regulated parking areas, which limit how long you can park for.

The green zone is mainly for the residents, but can also be used by city visitors, but only for a maximum of 1-2 hours. In the blue zone it is possible to park a little longer, depending on the urban area, with a maximum of 4 hours. So, it gets messy quickly, and it’s very easy to get fined if you overstay your welcome, or pay the wrong tariff.

So it seems to make sense to book your parking space before you arrive in Barcelona. But you’re not really familiar with the concept? No worries, we get it a lot! But it’s simple and above all, it’s hugely practical! With Parclick you can find a parking space in Sant Antoni that suits you! Just take a look at our map.

Place of the famous Mercado de San Antonio

The small Sant Antoni district of Barcelona is located within the Eixample and is known for its grid-shaped street layout. It’s undoubtedly one of the busiest places in the Catalan capital since it’s always got something going on.

Take a leisurely stroll down the Avenida Mistral, which is completely pedestrianised so you can chill out and have a coffee or a cool cerveza and watch the world go by. Sounds pretty blissful, right? It’s the perfect place to recharge your batteries before you get back on the move!

The symbol of the Sant Antoni district is without question the Mercado de San Antonio, which was founded in the late 19th century. On four days of the week, the market is awash with visitors wandering through the three areas: food, clothing and accessories. On Sundays, there are numerous stalls offering precious antiques, old books and all sorts of collectibles, such as coins, stamps and magazines. This particular market is not only a fascinating place for collectors, but for those who enjoy browsing countless stalls and simply want to enjoy the unique atmosphere.

The area is very well served by Barcelona’s excellent metro system, Unviersitat (Line 1 and 2), Sant Antoni (Line 2), Poble Sec (Line 3) and Rocafort (Line 1). So you can park in this area then go and enjoy everything else the Catalan capital has to offer! Sagrada Familia anyone?
