One of Barcelona’s main road
The Avenida Gaudí in Barcelona is a totally diagonal road that runs through the main tourist attractions of the city. The exact route of this avenue goes from the Sagrada Familia to the Hospital of Santa Cruz and San Pablo.

The route was inaugurated in 1927, but it was called General Primo de Rivera Avenue. Then in 1931, with the 2nd Republic underway, the street changes its name to Gaudí Avenue. But its name didn’t seem to stick and during its history there has been a back and forth between both names, until 1962, when it was decided for good.
