Where to park in Barcelona's Maritime Museum

Barcelona's Maritime Museum is located in the Raval district, right in Barcelona’s Ciutat Vella. It is a museum, where you can see boats and works of art from nautical adventures from throughout history.

But downside comes from being a fantastic museum in the centre of the Catalan capital? Well, it means that finding somewhere to park isn’t the easiest thing to do in the world! Think tourists, lots of them, small old streets and Barcelona’s on street parking regulations. ‘What’s that?’ We hear you ask, well in Barcelona prices and parking rules vary on whether you’re parked in the green zone or the blue zone, and regulations change again depending on whether you’re a resident or not! Sounds like a headache you want to avoid? Well take a look at the map and find a car park, which suits you! To get your day off to a great start at the Maritime Museum, book your parking with Parclick

In a historic building in Barcelona

The Maritime Museum in Barcelona is located in the well-known Royal Atarazanas building, which is in Barcelona’s former shipyards, which were used from the 13th to the 18th century. It’s here at the Drasannes, where Barcelona established their naval dominance of the Mediterranean. The museum was opened in 1929, and covers over 10,000 square metres today! So, there’s plenty to see :)

Some things that you have to see if you are interested in Naval history in this museum have to be the: the reproduction of a 16th century galley, the three-mast schooner merchant ship Santa Eulàlia, as well as other types of boats from fishing boats, to a wooden submarine to racing vessels! Plus, whilst you're in the area, you can also check out the Colombus monument, which you can even climb up to get some pretty spectacular views!

Fancy seeing some other museums in Barcelona then parking here is a great option too! You can get everywhere in the city using the city’s metro system, the closest stop to the museum is the Drassanes (line 3)

So if you’re thinking of seeing Barcelona’s maritime history, then there’s no better place than here! To ensure you have a stress-free day book your parking now with Parclick
