The venue covers an area of 400,000m2 for their events and conferences, and they get through a massive 500 a year! The Montjuïc exhibition ground, belonging to Fira, is one of the most surprising and striking of its kind. It was built in 1929 for the Exposición Universal.
Nearby you can find the Museo Nacional de Arte de Cataluña (MNAC). It’s a pretty big place, with restaurants too! The other ground is called Fira Gran Vía and it’s the biggest of the two. It was designed by the Japanese architect Toyo Ito, with the concepts of being both sustainable and modern. It consists of 8 pavillions, connected by internal walkways. Plus, it’s equipped with the largest solar panel ever built on a roof. In its 240,000 square meters there is enough space that it includes a few restaurants and two heliports.
