Completely renovated in 2002, the Hotel Trieste is really in a great location if you want to get to Venice by public transport. In fact, trains depart from the nearby Venezia Mestre Station, which can take you to Venezia Santa Lucia Station, in the heart of the lagoon, in about ten minutes. From here you can then continue on foot (or why not, by gondola) to all the main points of interest in Venice.
