The Island and the Church

The Church of San Giorgio, which is part of a larger monastery complex, was designed together with the dining hall by Andrea Palladio. Construction began in 1566 but was completed only in 1610 by Vincenzo Scamozzi. Inside the church there are also some preserved paintings of great interest such as the Raccolta della manna and L'Ultima cena di Tintoretto.
