Where to park in Casa Batlló

Going to Barcelona? So, we’re sure you want to see some of famous Catalan architect Antoní Gaudí’s work. The Casa Batlló in Barcelona is also one of his most famous artistic masterpieces here and it’s a real must-see when visiting the city.

The building is located directly on the Paseo de Gracia, in the Eixample district. In Barcelona, parking isn’t so easy, especially near tourist attractions, mainly due to the lack of free public parking.

Plus, many of the streets in the centre are totally off limits to vehicles, which is great for seeing the sights but a bit of a pain in the neck when you’re looking for somewhere to park. In addition, you should pay attention to the regulated parking zones - the blue and the green zone - where the parking time is limited to 4 hours or less, it’s not ideal, right?

So if you’re planning to visit the Casa Batlló, we recommend booking your parking in advance with Parclick, take a look at the map to find a car park which suits you, where you want for however long you want!

A fascinating work full of creativity, ingenuity and imagination

Casa Batllo Casa Batlló is on the Paseo de Garcias no. 43, about 500 meters from Plaça de Catalunya. This architectural masterpiece was built in 1875, but it was not until 1906 that Gaudí's ideas and the style of the Catalan Modernism completely transformed it.

The impressive façade of the building can be divided into three different elements, which all work together beautifully. The roof resembles the back of a dragon with colourful ceramic elements that look like big scales. The middle part of the facade has been completely decorated with mosaics of coloured glass as well as ceramics, which form a fascinating, wavy surface. The last part of the façade, the main one, consists of five huge windows supported by eight sandstone pillars shaped like bones.

Be sure to check out the inside! It’s completely flooded with daylight thanks to a charming courtyard. And let yourself be fascinated by this extremely unique architectural style. There’s a reason that it’s been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005.

Be sure to park your car right where you want to in Barcelona with Parclick! We offer you more than 100 car parks in the Catalan capital!
