Where to park in The Triennale

You will certainly have heard it spoken about more than once, but what exactly is the Triennale di Milano?

It is a cultural institution that organises numerous events, conferences and shows, with themes varying from art to cinema, from fashion to design and architecture, basically something for every taste!

The Triennale ‘HQ’ is the Palazzo dell’Arte, in the centre of Milan, in Parco Sempione. What this means is that however hard you try, it is impossible to get all the way there in your car. The only option is to park somewhere close by and use your own two legs for the last bit of the journey.

First adventure into Area C? Booking a car park in Milan’s ZTL – limited traffic zone – with Parclick will be extra satisfying! Not only will you have a guaranteed parking space, but also a nice little discount on the daily Area C ticket.

Booking a car park as soon as possible is definitely the right move if you want to avoid spending half your day cooped up in your car trying to find a free space on the street! This is a pretty difficult exercise as the few spaces that are available are reserved for residents or you have to pay the hourly rate. Is it not better anyway to choose a guarded car park when you get the chance??

After (or maybe even before) having seen the show or exhibition at Triennale, you can go on to enjoy a day in the park, or pay a visit to some of the main points of interest of Milan, like Castello Sforzesco and the Arco della Pace, on the edges of Parco Sempione.

To get to the centre of Milan you could use line 1 and 10 of the tram or the number 61 bus, which stop next to the majestic Duomo di Milano!

The Palace and Theatre of art

The Triennale has been around since 1933, in a building naturally suited to large cultural events and museum activities, and you will often see these events spilling into the rest of the city and completely taking over.

Their mission is to match-make the more classical arts with the world of industry, so the themes employed are always there to inspire innovation and explore our contemporary reality.

Since 2007 the Palazzo dell’Arte has housed the Triennale Design Museum, the first museum dedicated entirely to Italian design and then in 2011 the Teatro dell’Arte was also thrown into the mix, a proper cultural centre, where they perform experiments with lots of new and exciting theatrical works, incorporating everything, including new technologies, into their performances.

This uniqueness in each show is what makes every single event so special! People are aware of this so when a new one pops up, the hunt for parking becomes even more competitive!

So, if you’re an art lover, aspiring designer, a famous architect or just curious and on the look-out for a new take on life, then a visit to the Triennale is the thing for you. Book a car park in Milan with Parclick, today, tomorrow or whenever you find a moment, we offer the best central car parks in the city!
