Park at the Venice Mestre Train Station

Venice Mestre Station

The economical way to see Venice

With nearly 500 trains transporting 85,000 passengers every day, this is one of northern Italy’s main transport hubs, as well as being the station which reaches the Venice Santa Lucia Station in the city’s historic heart.

So for this reason, the Venice Mestre Station is always super crowded with tourists, commuters, families with young children, dogs, cats, so basically everyone and everything!

Also keep in mind that leaving your car in this area is the real low-cost option, especially compared to the prices once you've crossed the Ponte della Libertà in the heart of the lagoon.

With Parclick, you’ll get everything sorted quickly and easily, and most importantly, you’ll have a guaranteed parking space!

But there’s another option! You can decide to park at the Piazzale Roma, in the centre of Venice near the Venice Santa Lucia Station, but it’s a lot more expensive!

Whatever your plan (and your budget) is, Parlick always has the best option t o park in Venice for you!

To reach Venice Mestre by car

Getting to Mestre by car is really easy, as the city is served by the A57 motorway.

To get to Venice Mestre you’ll only have to take the exit for Mestre and take the Via della Libertà (SR11). It’s great because it means that you don't have to worry about the controlled traffic zone!

Public transport from Venice Mestre

Once you’ve got to Venice Mestre and parked, then the easiest way to get to the city centre is using public transport. Many regional trains depart from this station, which in just a few minutes on the Ponte della Libertà, arrive in the historic heart of Venice at the Santa Lucia station.

You can also catch a public bus which will take you directly from the station to the Piazza Roma. The two main lines being lines 2 and 6

The Venice Mestre Station

A great alternative to reach the heart  of Venice, as well as other Italian cities. The station’s trains serve Milan, Rome, Florence, Naples, Trieste, Udine and Trento, and will get you there in no time at all, especially with Italy’s high-speed Frecciarossa and Frecciargento lines.

The Venice Mestre Station is managed by the Italian State Railways Group and is part of the Gold category based on the services which it offers to its passengers…not too bad right?

Here are the main station services:
