The Bastille Day Military Parade
At 10:00 am, the President of the Republic will appear on the Avenue des Champs Elysées, ready for the start of the Bastille Day Military Parade of the 14th of July at 10:30 am. The parade is opened by the Patrouille de France, who also provide the aerial display, and finishes at 11:45 am.
If you don’t plan on arriving hours in advance, we’d advise you to reserve your parking space in Paris away from the road closures, to avoid not being able to access your parking, particularly in the area around the Avenue des Champs-Élysées. Also, if you are looking for a place to watch the parade from, we’d recommend the Assemblée Nationale (The National Assembly).
Concert and Fireworks at the Eiffel Tower
Why not go and explore the Eiffel Tower on this day of national celebration? Not only will you see the beautiful structure but you can enjoy the Grand Concert of Classical Music which the area hosts every 14th of July. It is also the perfect opportunity to go to the Champ de Mars and wait for the marvellous firework display surrounding the Eiffel Tower.
We highly recommend that you avoid the area next to the Avenue des Champs Elysées, the Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars with your car as the area will be extremely busy and many streets will be closed to traffic. As streets are crowded, you may also prefer not to go too close to these areas by foot. We recommend to park in our secure car parks towards the outskirts of Paris and use public transport to go to your area of choice.
