Where to park in The Paris Breathes Scheme

Driving in the centre of Paris is quite a story: between the ZCR (the Restricted Traffic Zone), the Crit'Air Stickers and Paris Breathes Scheme, it's hard to find your way around by car.

By now, you have the ZCR (Restricted Traffic Zone) worked out. You have got your the Crit'Air sticker and you think it's settled.

But then the Paris Breathes Scheme comes along... You've heard that you can't drive to Paris on Sundays, from time to time, but not all the time? Are you a bit confused?

Well, let's start again! As we at Parclick love you very much, we're going to give you a few explanations so that you can park in Paris in complete peace of mind!

The Paris Breathes Schemes, what is it?

Driving in Paris at weekends and on public holidays

Introduced on 7 October 2018, Paris Breathes restricts traffic in Paris on Sundays in the centre of the capital and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in certain districts of Paris.

The aim is to improve air quality and provide a car-free space in Paris, just like the car free days in Paris.

The first thing you need to know is that the Paris Breathing Scheme is only effective on certain days of the month, with each district applying different times and days. That's it!

So, which arrondissements take part in Paris breathes?

Read on, we'll tell you everything ;)

What vehicles are affected by Paris breathes?

All the vehicles are concerned by Paris respire, except for residents of the Paris respire area and disabled people who have a PMR card in particular.

Other vehicles are authorised to circulate such as taxis, transport cars, public service vehicles, etc.

The Areas which take part in Paris Breathes:

To remember the districts involved by Paris breathes, think that you are not going to pass through Quatre Chemins.

Firstly because Aubervilliers is not included in Paris Breathes, and secondly because this expression will remind you that it is the first four arrondissements of Paris that are concerned.

Not a silly thing to say!

The problem is that that's not all! In all, there are 20 districts of the capital in which traffic is banned for Paris Breathes.

We will give you more information about the districts which take part in Paris Breathes below.

The QR code has never worked in the many times we have parked here but the staff are helpful at sorting this out. Would be nice if you could fix this though as it is quite annoying. Lift is broken half the time.
