Is Nice worth visiting?

Yes, one of the main reasons being that Nice is a city full of history! It is one of the cities founded by the Greeks, along what we know today as the French Riviera. The Romans, who dominated the Mediterranean at the time, annexed the city and its surroundings in the 2nd century BC. Its history during the following centuries was eventful, especially given its coastal location and its proximity to territories such as the kingdom of Savoy, that of Piedmont-Sardinia. It was in 1860 that the city of Nice was finally integrated into France.
