Where to park in The Grande Plage
Are you on holiday to Biarritz and would like to reserve a parking space in advance? You are absolutely right! Biarritz is the most popular seaside resort in the Basque Country. The Grande Plage de Biarritz is the town's main beach. This beach is 450 metres long and is the largest beach in the seaside resort. Ideally located in the town, this fine sandy beach is perfectly equipped to satisfy young and old alike. It is supervised from June to October.
Indeed, if you come here with children, the Grande Plage features a Mickey Club. Between the trampolines, the swimming pool and other activities, your children will be eager to return! Meanwhile, why not try your hand at surfing? Biarritz being the European capital of surfing, it's the perfect place to test your agility and balance. In addition, the Grande Plage de Biarritz has 3 surf schools to take lessons and/or to hire equipment. You will have the choice between the Tropical School Euskadi Surf - Biarritz Boardriders, the E.J Personal Surf Coach school or the Shining Surf School.
If you prefer to relax on the Grande Plage, it is possible to rent tents. These small tents with stripes in different colours are ideal if you come with children, elderly people or if you just want a little bit of shade. Rentals are possible from the 1st of July to the 31st of August.
Next to the Grande Plage, you will also find the Palais de Biarritz (hotel), the municipal swimming pool of Biarritz and a great boulevard for a long walk or bike ride. The Grande Plage is located just a short walk from the city centre of Biarritz. You will be able to enjoy all the shops there.
If you are a bit hungry and don't want to leave the beach of Biarritz, you can go to the café-restaurants Le Dodin, Le Café de la Grande Plage or Le Bleu café.
The Grande Plage de Biarritz is served by 3 car parks which are the Indigo Grande Plage Car Park (boulevard du Général de Gaulle), the Indigo Casino Car Park (boulevard du Général de Gaulle) and the Indigo Bellevue Car Park (place Bellevue).
