Compared to other Amsterdam districts, the industrial district of Amsterdam-Noord is seen as raw, edgy and trendy. Amsterdam-Noord consists of different neighborhoods and garden villages that all have their own character. Whether you want to go on a culinary, cultural or creative tour, Amsterdam-Noord has something to offer in all areas. Although there is plenty to do in the trendy district, mass tourism has not yet reached Amsterdam-Noord. We recommend starting at the Strip. Here you will first find the special building of the Eye Film Museum, where you can learn everything about film. The Amsterdam Tower is also located in this area. This building brings together businesses, shops, restaurants and a hotel, with the popular A'dam Lookout on the top floor. Take an elevator with a light show to the roof terrace for an overwhelming view, and enjoy dinner or a drink at the bar. Are you a real adrenaline junkie? Then you can take a seat here in special swings that reach over the edge. Next to the A'dam Toren is This is Holland, a 5D flight simulator that takes you along Dutch landscapes with windmills and tulips. For musical performances you can go to Paradiso Noord and if you want to soak up some history you can walk to the monumental Ponthuys.
Another area that you really should not miss is the NDSM wharf. The former shipyard is a gathering place for creative minds and artists, and in addition to performances, exhibitions, festivals and delicious eateries, it also offers a street art museum and even a city beach. You will also find the IJ-hallen, Europe's largest flea market, here. So you can also easily combine several fun things in this environment.

Amsterdam-Noord is very well connected to other parts of the city anyway. Amsterdam-Noord can be reached by car via the A10 ring road or from Amsterdam Center via the IJ tunnel. You can also get there in no time by public transport. Metro line 52 (which runs from north to south) will take you from one side of the city to the other in no time.
