Where to park in The 1st Arrondissement of Paris

The 1st arrondissement of Paris is located in the heart of the capital. Not surprisingly, it is particularly difficult to park in this part of Paris, which is full of tourist attractions such as the Louvre Museum, the Palais-Royal, and the Les Halles Shopping Centre. Parclick saves you from the stress of parking in the city, offering cheap, secure car parks in the 1st Arrondissement of Paris.

To the south of the 1st arrondissement you will find the River Seine. The area is surrounded to the west by the Place de la Concorde, to the east by the Boulevard Sébastopol and to the north by the roads Rue des Capucines, Rue Danielle Casanova and Rue des Petits-Champs. The 1st Arrondissement is home to some of the capital's most well-known sites such as the Jardin des Tuileries, the Palais du Louvre and The Conciergerie.  Nearly half of the Ile de la Cité is also located in this arrondissement.

On-street parking in the 1st arrondissement without a residents card is limited and expensive, only available for two consecutive hours and costing €4 per hour. If you are visiting, we recommend leaving your car in a car park. At Parclick, we offer car parks at reasonable prices across the 1st arrondissement which you can even prebook in advance, saving time and money!

The 1st arrondissement is one of the 20 arrondissements of Paris. It is also called the "arrondissement du Louvre" as it is home to the famous attraction! This central area of Paris is divided into four districts: Les Halles, the Palais-Royal, Place-Vendôme and the Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois. Although only 1.83 square kilometres in size, this area of Paris concentrates many of the city’s most famous tourist sites such as the Louvre Museum, the Place Vendôme and the Palais-Royal, not to mention the several famous theatres such as the Comédie Française, the Palais-Royal Theatre and the Châtelet Theatre. The 1st arrondissement is also home to Les Halles Shopping Centre, numerous museums, churches and hotels. On the Ile de la Cité, you will also find the Conciergerie which can be accessed via the Pont-Neuf.

Most of the metro stations in the 1st arrondissement are located along the Rue de Rivoli, which crosses the 1st arrondissement from east to west. You can also take the metro and the RER from the Les Halles Shopping Centre (Châtelet - Les Halles station).
