HOW IT WORKS: This is a valet parking service. Drive to the drop-off point at the address indicated on your reservation and the valet company staff will take charge of your vehicle, taking it to be parked in their guarded car park in the outskirts of Amsterdam, where it will remain until you ask for it to be returned.
Remember! This is just the meeting point where the driver will collect your vehicle :)
We are aware that parking near NEMO Science Museum is not an easy task, to help you avoid any trouble trying to find a parking space in this busy area, we recommend our valet service. Choose from our 6-hour or 12-hour stay or, alternatively, a full day, up to as many as 30 days. So, whether you are just dropping by, here for a day or all in for a full holiday, we are here to make the journey run smoothly! Simply, drive straight to the NEMO Science Center and a professional driver will take care of your car, moving it to a safe and secure, guarded car park just outside the city centre. Parking in Amsterdam has never been so easy!
On the docks of Oosterdok stands this enormous ‘ship’ and we definitely recommend you climb aboard. The NEMO is very child friendly, crammed full of interactive exhibitions for them to enjoy. Although, Mum and Dad won’t be able to resist getting involved too! They have a look at history in the Innovation Gallery, where you can see the early technology from the visionaries who created the base for all those useful items that, today, we can’t live without. On the other end of the spectrum are the Energetica and Smart Technology exhibitions. The first shows us the power of nature and how we can harness it and the second, energy saving technology around which we can build a brighter and more sustainable future.
Entertain all 5 of your senses, everyone will come away having learnt something new. We would like to point out that none of the exhibits are for tasting, you should save that final sense for the café, which is found on the roof and has some spectacular views out over the city!
If NEMO left you and your children with some unanswered questions, let your curiosity lead you a short walk over the Mr. J. J. van der Veldebrug bridge to The Public Library of Amsterdam, one of the most impressive buildings around. We imagine after all this brain activity you will have worked up quite an appetite and there is a lovely little restaurant on the water in front of the library called Sea Palace to help you with this particular problem! Some other good places to visit are the Basilica of St. Nicholas, the Schreierstoren and Gassan Diamonds.
While we do the parking, you can get on with your new discoveries!
