HOW IT WORKS: This is a valet parking service. Drive to the drop-off point at the address indicated on your reservation and the valet company staff will take charge of your vehicle, taking it to be parked in their guarded car park in the outskirts of Amsterdam, where it will remain until you ask for it to be returned.
Remember! This is just the meeting point where the driver will collect your vehicle :)
It doesn’t get much more central than this! It is right next to Dam Square, an absolute must-see during your visit to Amsterdam as well as the Royal Palace. From this central point all of the city’s famous landmarks are within easy reach.
Sounding pretty good so far? It gets better!
We are afraid that all rumours about the difficulty of parking in Amsterdam’s centre are true. It’s horrible. But, we have something to help you avoid any problems. With our valet service you can drop off your car at Swissôtel and an expert driver will take it off to a safe and secure car park just outside the city centre. Free of inhibitions, you can go and have some fun!
Here is a bit of food for thought on where to visit:
It is in such a great spot that you can’t really go wrong. Seeing as it’s right there, the Dam Square would be a good place to start. The Royal Palace, which is still used for some Royal events but is also open to the public, stands majestically at one end with the National Monument war memorial at the other. Or you could take a look at the Flemish cultural centre at Theater De Brakke Grond, a few minutes’ walk away. If you just want to switch the brain off you could poke around Madame Tussauds and find your favourite celebrity in all their waxy glory or wonder around the shops on Damrak - for designers - and Kalverstraat - for the high street stuff.
◊ Move around
There is a tram and a bus station literally outside the front door, on various lines, if you want to rest those feet. Alternatively, there are bike rental shops all over the place so you can join the locals on their two-wheeled friends!
» To get there
The best way to get there is by turning off the A10 ring road onto the S112 then you want to cross over the Amstel and follow the road onto Rokin which leads right up into the middle of Dam Square. Various one way systems may make entry from elsewhere pretty tricky so try to follow this route!
