Where to park in the historic centre of Naples?
Ultimately, as you will have seen, there are plenty of car parks in Naples that you can book with Parclick. There are really plenty of options, with solutions for all types of people. Whether you need a luxury garage near your favourite museum, or you simply need a cheap car park in the centre of Naples, you're sure to find something that suits you.
Often, however, as the options increase, you also become more hesitant. All the variables paralyse you and you're left for hours thinking: "Aaah, where do I go? Will this one work? What if this one is better?"... and then you end up choosing the first solution you had your eye on.
Nobody likes to waste time like this, so this is where we'll help you choose a car park in the historic centre of Naples that's right for you. If you wish, you can even reserve a spot right away, so you can leave with the peace of mind you need!
In our opinion, one of the best options for parking in the centre of Naples is Garage Napoli Chiaia. This car park located on the Riviera di Chiaia is covered, guarded, open 24 hours a day and within walking distance of the main points of interest in the area. It's not exactly central, but it is close to the Piazza Amedeo metro stop, from where you can easily get around the centre.
And why is this location more convenient than, for example, the car parks in the Spanish neighbourhood? Because among the covered car parks in the centre of Naples, it is one of the ones with the lowest hourly rates (4€/h) and the only one where you can book a weekly pass through Parclick.
Now that we've mentioned them, if you want alternatives in the Spanish neighbourhood, you can park at Parking Toledo, Garage Panorama, Garage Napoli Centro, or Parking Central Park Simone Group. The hourly rates are reasonable, but there are no offers for longer stays, and if you want to stay more than one night, you'll have to pay a minimum of 4 euros for every hour your car spends there.
If you don't have to watch your budget, check out the Supergarage. The Supergarage is a luxury garage that also offers shuttle and valet parking, electric car charging, car and bike rental and ozone sanitising. Of course, it is open 24 hours a day, with staff always available. With Parclick you can book two different types of parking within the Supergarage depending on your budget, the services you want and the places you want to reach with the shuttle service.
If you choose the Shuttle service, you will have to park at Via Shelley 11, where a shuttle from the parking will transport you to your destination. If you choose the Car Valet service, instead, you will be able to park in different places in Naples and have your car picked up by Supergarage staff.
Where to park safely in Naples?
If your main requirement is safety and you want safe parking in the centre of Naples, we have the answer for you here too!
First of all, because all the car parks in Naples on our platform are equipped with a video surveillance system, and then also because the car parks in the centre of Naples are all covered! This means that your vehicle will be safe from both the elements and from intruders.
For example, you may be interested in the Garage del Mare, conveniently located between the centre, the port and the seafront and open 24 hours a day; or even the Autorimessa Merliani, in the heart of the Vomero district and open all day.
The same applies if you are looking for parking without leaving your keys: check out the Panorama Garage, open 24 hours a day and located near the famous Toledo metro station.
Interested in other areas of the city? Then check out the Autoparcheggio KING, located between the port and the Central Station, or the Sannazzaro Garage, at the end of the promenade, or even the Manzoni - Posillipo Garage: one of them might be right in the area you are looking for, and they are all covered and under video surveillance!
Where to park in Naples near the metro?
If you don't want to drive to the centre of Naples, you can always park near a metro stop and get around on line 1 and line 6. In the end, you know that the rule in any city is: "the less time I spend in the car in traffic, the less angry I get".
If you decide to follow this philosophy, there are many places where you can leave your car before taking the metro.
For example, for parking near the Garibaldi metro stop, you can rely on the valet parking services of Supergarage and Napoli Parking. All you have to do is park in the designated parking spaces near the stop and the staff will come and pick up your car and take it to a safe place until you need it again. But beware, these services are not cheap!
If, on the other hand, you are coming from the other side of town and prefer to park near Piazza Amedeo (for example), you can leave your car at Autorimessa Travaglione, which will take care of it for 3.50 euros per hour.
Nearby is also the Quattro Giornate stop, and if that's your destination, we recommend that you book a parking space at the Parking Scarlatti in Toledo or the Parking Merliani. The latter is also quite close to the Medaglia D'Oro stop, along with the Gepark Cacciottoli car park.
If, on the other hand, you want to go to the centre and park near the Municipio stop or the Toledo stop, you can go to the Toledo car park or (big surprise!) use the services of the Supergarage again. From there, following the main streets of the Spanish neighbourhood, you can also easily get to the Dante and Piazza Giovanni Bovio stops.
Now you have all the information you need to plan your trip in advance and reach all the city's points of interest as easily as possible. Now you can book a car park in Naples with Parclick. We offer you only the best parkings ;)
Driving in Naples
Naples is one of the largest cities in Italy, as well as being among the most populated in the entire European Union. It is the largest city in southern Italy and, with almost one million inhabitants, is only surpassed in population by Rome and Milan.
Visiting Naples is great at any time of the year, but have you ever heard anyone talk about their experience of driving to Naples and touring the city (or at least trying to)?
You will have heard, for example, that it is a city with a lot of traffic, perhaps even a little wild, and where the traffic is not exactly... how shall we say... smooth.
However, we believe that the best tool to deal with the traffic situation in Naples is information, so here you will find everything you need to know if you decide to embark on the adventure of driving in Naples ;)
In Naples there are always a lot of cars (and at least three times as many mopeds), both in the centre and in the more peripheral neighbourhoods. However, there are Restricted Traffic Zones where only residents are allowed access and all others are prohibited during activation hours.
In addition, traffic closures, or alternating number plates, are often instituted to reduce pollution levels, such as so-called "Green Sundays".
But let's take a small step back and go back to what Naples' ZTLs are.
Naples Limited Traffic Zones
Here is a list of all the Limited Traffic Zones in Naples:
- ZTL Centro Antico
- ZTL Tarsia Pignasecca
- ZTL Belledonne, Martiri and Poerio
- ZTL Mezzocannone
- ZTL Morelli, Filangieri, Mille
- ZTL Piazza del Gesù
- ZTL Chiaia
- ZTL Corso Sirena
We have also prepared a nice article where you can easily check the timetables of the ZTL zones in Naples, so that you know when you can access the ZTL zones in Naples and avoid fines and stress.
Parking in Naples
On-street parking in Naples
Another factor to consider when deciding to take your bravery into your own hands and drive to Naples is where to park in Naples!
Obviously, we understand that your first thought is to look for on-street parking, but bear in mind that in Naples, as in most big cities, on-street parking is subject to a fee.
You will recognise the paid on-street parking zones by the blue lines with which they are marked, but the real challenge is not that.... It's finding a free parking space.
Lots of cars and lots of people, add these two aspects together and you will realise that before you find a parking space in Naples you may have to drive around the city several times, risking even entering a ZTL without realising it.
Any ideas on where to park in Naples more easily?

What to do in Naples
In a city as big as Naples there is always something to do, such as sporting events, concerts, exhibitions, fairs and shows. You just have to know where to look.
Obviously, the main venue for sporting events is the Stadio San Paolo, where football reigns supreme (Forza Napoli).
Among the venues that host most of the city's trade fair events is the Mostra d'Oltremare, which also includes the Arena Flegrea and the Teatro Palapartenope mentioned above.
