As well as being an excellent service for the tram line B and a large number of bus lines, this square is located a stone's throw away from tourist attractions such as the Saint-André cathedral, or shopping streets such as the Cours de l'Intendance. Nearby, you will find the Mollat bookshop, the UGC Ciné Cité cinema, the Porte Dijeaux, the Bordeaux Auditorium, not forgetting banks, cafés, restaurants and hotels. On sunny days, Place Gambetta is also a good place to relax in the grass.

This square is also close to the Mériadeck shopping centre, the Saint-Seurin Basilica, Place de la Comédie and Place Tourny - all within a 10-minute walk.

However, as you will see if you go to Place Gambetta, it is very poorly placed in terms of parking. Indeed, traffic is particularly heavy there, due to a continuous flow of buses, cars and motorbikes.

As for parking in the adjacent streets, don't count on it: many of them are busy and one-way streets, such as Rue Judaïque; moreover, Place Gambetta is adjacent to the pedestrian zone, which you will have to go around to look for a parking space. The easiest way to find a parking space is to park in a car park - which is the only option if you plan to stay for more than two hours.
