It cannot be compared to Amsterdam Oud-Zuid: many students and people with many different nationalities live there, and it is therefore a bustling environment with a lot of good restaurants and eateries that can serve you dishes from every conceivable world cuisine. If you visit De Pijp, you should of course not miss the famous Albert Cuyp market. Here you can buy fresh products, flowers and clothing. In the north of the Pijp (on the border of the Amsterdam Zuid district and the canal belt) is the Heineken Experience, where you can learn everything about the beer brand and the beer brewing process. You can take a relaxing walk in the Sarphatipark, theaters are mainly found on the eastern border of the district, near the Amstel.
