Here, the famous Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum are located side by side, with the Stedelijk Museum of Amsterdam within walking distance. The Concertgebouw is also situated in this area. The cozy Pijp is also part of Amsterdam Zuid. It cannot be compared to Amsterdam Oud-Zuid: many students and people from various nationalities live here, making it a vibrant area with a multitude of excellent restaurants and eateries offering dishes from every imaginable world cuisine. If you visit the Pijp, you must not miss the famous Albert Cuyp Market. Here, you can buy fresh products, flowers, and clothing. In the northern part of the Pijp (on the border of the Amsterdam Zuid district and the canal belt), you'll find the Heineken Experience, where you can learn everything about the beer brand and the beer brewing process. A relaxing walk can be taken in Sarphatipark, and theaters are mainly found on the eastern border of the neighborhood, near the Amstel.

You can imagine that parking in a modern, spacious neighborhood like Buitenveldert is much easier than parking in the Pijp or in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. Especially around well-known attractions, parking in Amsterdam Zuid can be challenging. You have several options.

It might be obvious to look for a parking space on the street. However, street parking spaces are scarce and quite expensive.

For example, park in the area around Amsterdam Zuid station and take metro line 52 from there to Vijzelgracht or De Pijp.
