What is Ziggo Dome?

Ziggo Dome is a covered concert hall in Amsterdam Zuidoost, next to the Johan Cruijff ArenA. It is one of the busiest concert halls in the world and can accommodate 17,000 visitors simultaneously. You understand immediately why you need to think in advance about where to park at Ziggo Dome: that's a lot of cars!

The name Ziggo Dome comes from the Dutch cable company Ziggo, which is the largest sponsor of the building. What is special about the building is the 84,000 LED lights that allow videos to be displayed all over the exterior of the building. Also noteworthy is the fact that the name 'Dome' suggests that there is a dome on the building, while it is a square.

Activities at Ziggo Dome

If you want to park at Ziggo Dome, you are probably going to a concert because that is what the building is most commonly used for. But although the building was designed to enhance music, it can also be relatively easily converted into a sports hall for events such as korfball, tennis, ice skating, or swimming competitions. 

Attractions around Ziggo Dome 

Even if you don't plan to attend a concert or if you want to combine your visit to Amsterdam before a concert with another activity, you are in the right place. Ziggo Dome is not only next to the Johan Cruijff ArenA but also next to the Villa ArenA shopping mall and within walking distance of the Pathé ArenA cinema, the AFAS Live concert hall, the Arenapark, and the Amsterdamse Poort shopping center. Of course, you can also park your car at Ziggo Dome and then take public transport to explore other parts of the capital. 

Accessibility of Ziggo Dome

By car, you can easily drive to Ziggo Dome via the A2. Then take the exit Transferium/Ouderkerk aan de Amsterl/Amsterdam Zuidoost. If you want to switch to public transport after parking at Ziggo Dome, take the train or metro lines 50 or 54 at Amsterdam Bijlmer Station. Metro line 50 connects the stadium area to stations such as Zuid, Sloterdijk, and Lelylaan, and metro 54 is very convenient as it has Amsterdam Centraal Station as its terminal. So, you'll be in the center in no time, where you can enjoy shopping on Kalverstraat or visit famous landmarks such as the Royal Palace, Madame Tussauds, Body Worlds Amsterdam, the Anne Frank House, and many more. 
The Bijlmer ArenA bus station is the main bus station in Amsterdam Zuidoost, so wherever you want to go in the area, there's a good chance that a bus stops there. 

Thanks to its central location and good connections with public transport, it's incredibly smart to park your car at Ziggo Dome and then head to the center or another destination.

Parking at Ziggo Dome

If you want to park at Ziggo Dome, there are many different parking lots around Ziggo Dome, AFAS Live, and the ArenA stadium . During events, there is a special event rate. 

• P1 – Johan Cruijff ArenA: 2400 parking spaces at Burgemeester Stramanweg 130 (under the ArenA). 
• P2 – Event terrain: on Borchlandweg 1. Only open during events (4 hours before to 2 hours after the end). 
• P3 – Mikado: 336 parking spaces located at De Entree 228. 
• P4 – Villa ArenA: 1248 parking spaces located at De Entree 228. 
• P5 – Villa ArenA: 1354 parking spaces located at De Entree 7. 
• P6 – Pathé/Entertainment Triangle: 399 parking spaces located at De Corridor 15. 
• P10- Plaza ArenA: 814 parking spaces located at Herikerbergweg 288. 

Due to the high traffic around events, football matches, and concerts, we recommend reserving a parking spot in advance at a parking garage near Ziggo Dome. In the absence of events, P1 under the Johan Cruijff ArenA serves as a cheap P+R location, allowing you to park extra affordably at Ziggo Dome.
