HOW IT WORKS: This is a valet parking service. Drive to the drop-off point at the address indicated on your reservation and the valet company staff will take charge of your vehicle, taking it to be parked in their guarded car park in the outskirts of Amsterdam, where it will remain until you ask for it to be returned.
Remember! This is just the meeting point where the driver will collect your vehicle :)
We realise finding parking near the Museum van Loon can be difficult so, to liberate you from the constraints of finding a parking space in this busy area, we would like to recommend our valet service. You can opt for a 6-hour or 12-hour stay or, alternatively, a full day, for as many as 30 days. So, whether you are just stopping by, here for the day or in full holiday mode, we want to give you the perfect start! Simply, drive straight to the Museum van Loon and a professional driver will take care of your car, moving it to a secure and guarded car park just outside the city centre. Parking in Amsterdam has never been so easy!
The museum used to be the home of Willem van Loon, co-founder of the Dutch East India Company, one of the most successful companies in world history! This magnificent specimen of a house was built in 1672, overlooks the Keizersgracht canal and is filled with treasures collected over the centuries. Willem and the family were very horsey and this is reflected in the recent addition of the Coach House.
Although the museum was opened in 1973, the house was still owned by the van Loons right up until 2009, when the museum finally got their hands on it! Since then the house has been transformed back to its former glory, so there is now a matching 17th century set of house, garden and coach house.
Rembrandplein is only about a 5-minute walk, where you can relax in the square or pop into one of the many cafés, such as Escape, round its edge for a coffee, or maybe something a bit stronger if you’ve been hitting the tourism hard all day ;) Some places that should also be on your radar are the Comedy Theater, the Munttoren, for some great views over the city, and the Pathé Tuschinski if you just want to relax and watch a film after a long day.
Book your parking in advance so we can take all that parking stress and throw it out the window!
