About the car park
HOW IT WORKS: This is a valet parking service. Drive to the drop-off point at the address indicated on your reservation and the valet company staff will take charge of your vehicle, taking it to be parked in their guarded car park in the outskirts of Amsterdam, where it will remain until you ask for it to be returned. Remember! This is just the meeting point where the driver will collect your vehicle :) Word on the street is that finding parking near the Muziekgebouw aan ´t IJ is a tricky business. To help you avoid any trouble finding a parking space in the area, we think you should consider our valet service. You can opt for a 6-hour or 12-hour stay or, alternatively, a full day, for as many as 30 days. So, whether you are just getting a quick musical download, in Amsterdam for a day or enjoying a proper holiday, we are here to make the journey run more smoothly! Simply drive straight to the Muziekgebouw and a professional driver will take care of your car, moving it to a safe and secure, guarded car park just outside the city centre. Now, parking in Amsterdam is like taking candy from a baby - something we do not support by the way! Built in 2005, this concert hall has been a powerful addition to Amsterdam’s armoury. Putting on about 250 shows a year, it is a great place for any music lover. Their programme is made up of an innovative selection of contemporary music in many different forms, from orchestras to DJs as well as visual arts shows, combining music, theatre, humour and dance. So, whatever your mood, there will be something to keep you smiling! The main hall is as flexible as an Olympic gymnast and is able to create all manner of spaces, so whether you are here to be blasted away by the full orchestra or looking for something a little more intimate, the stage will be set. Once it is all over, you can wind down in the cafe and restaurant and enjoy the beautiful views out over the IJ river, which is equally as beautiful by night, as the lights twinkle on the surface, as it is in glorious sunshine! For something a little less structured, pop into the adjoining BIMhuis, where you will find some of the best jazz and improv music in the world. To continue your cultural tour of the city, why not head towards the centre and drop in on the Basilica of St. Nicholas which has been the major Catholic church in Amsterdam for over 120 years, whose beautiful towers, dome and interior are a sight to behold! Also in this riverside area surrounding the docks are the NEMO Science Museum, the Weepingtower and the Amsterdam Public Library. Book your parking in advance so that you can get on with enjoying yourself! Drop off point: Piet Heinkade 1, 1019 BR AmsterdamRead less
