HOW IT WORKS: This is a valet parking service. Drive to the drop-off point at the address indicated on your reservation and the valet company staff will take charge of your vehicle, taking it to be parked in their guarded car park in the outskirts of Amsterdam, where it will remain until you ask for it to be returned.
Remember! This is just the meeting point where the driver will collect your vehicle :)
If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that parking near Stopera is fairly tricky so, to get around this problem, we recommend our valet service. You can opt for a 6-hour or 12-hour stay or, alternatively, a full day, for as many as 30 days. So, whether you are just in for a show, visiting for a day or away for a nice long break, we want to make things as easy as possible! Simply, drive straight to Stopera and an experienced driver will take your car off your hands, moving it to a safe and secure, guarded car park just outside the city centre. Parking in Amsterdam is easier than it has ever been!
Stopera is a hugely important cultural venue in Amsterdam. The name is a mash-up of stadhuis and opera which refers to the fact that the building contains the city hall as well as The National Opera - as you may have guessed - as well as the National Ballet and the Holland Symfonia, who are the resident orchestra for the ballet. Some groups from the community were very against the idea of this place being built and there were even riots when construction started!
However, today instead of shouts of protest, all you will hear is the tuneful sounds of the orchestra, the sweet song of the opera and the wild applause of an extremely satisfied audience. Their rich programme of creative and innovative shows will leave you captivated and begging for more!
The building is on Waterlooplein, where you will find one of the biggest flea markets you’re ever likely to come across. This is a great place to have a rummage in the search for the hidden gems you are certain to find. A couple of other places in the area are the Jewish Quarter, the Botanical Gardens and the Hermitage Museum.
You’ve booked your own accommodation so why not book your car’s as well? Book your parking and rid yourself of any unnecessary hassle!
