HOW IT WORKS: This is a valet parking service. Drive to the pick-up point at the address indicated on your booking and the valet parking company staff will pick up your vehicle and take it to a nearby public car park in Amsterdam, where it will remain until you request for it to be returned. And remember! This is just the meeting point with the driver who will pick up your vehicle :) We realise finding parking near Nieuwmarkt can be difficult so, to help you avoid any trouble trying to find a parking space in this busy area, we recommend our valet service. You can opt for a 6-hour or 12-hour stay or, alternatively, a full day, for as many as 30 days. So, whether you are just calling in briefly, here for a day or going for an all out holiday, we are here to ensure a smooth start to the trip! Simply, drive straight to Nieuwmarkt and a professional driver will take care of your car, moving it to a secure, guarded car park just outside the city centre. Parking in Amsterdam has never been so easy! During the week, all you will find here is a few little stalls selling vegetables, flowers and a bit of cheese. Every Saturday though it becomes an organic farmers’ market and it explodes into life and every square inch is in use as the air is filled with the delicious smells of all the local produce brought in from the surrounding countryside. As well as all that fresh food, you can find cosmetics and some home improvements, such as some lovely homemade scented candles. In the summer, you can also return on the Sunday and go for a bit of bargain hunting through the flea market! Standing in the same square is the De Waag. What was originally one of the three entrance gates to the city back in the 15th Century, it became a weighing house in the 1600s, hence the name - Weigh House in English. Currently living there is the Waag Society, an institute for art, science and technology who put on some very illuminating exhibitions and workshops on a wide range of modern topics. On the ground floor is the Restaurant-café In de Waag for a bit of refreshment. The oudezijde - ‘old side’ - used to be dominated by monasteries and there are still some good churches to see. The Oude Kerk, Het Bethaniënklooster and Sint Nicolaaskerk are all nice and close. For the less virtuous, try Bananenbar - adults only! - or the Sexmuseum! If you’re coming here by car, let us remove any difficulties by parking it for you while you get started! Read less

How to enter?

This is a valet service car park. ON THE DAY OF YOUR ARRIVAL:

1. One hour before you arrive at the meeting point, you'll receive an email message with the driver's details who will pick your car up. As well as a code, which you'll have to show to the driver, both when you leave your car, as well as when you want to pick it back up again.

2. A professional driver in a WeParc uniform will be waiting for you at the meeting point to pick your car up and park it in a monitored nearby car park. Make sure you take your Parclick reservation and email code with you.

3. To guarantee a quality service, when you hand over your car the driver will ask for the email code that you'll have been sent. After having taken your car, they will inspect it and take photos.

ON YOUR RETURN:

1. When your reservation ends, WeParc staff will deliver your vehicle to you at the same point where it was picked up. If you want to speed up the process for when you come back, call the phone that you will find in your reservation at least 2 hours before your car is due to be returned to you. You can also change the point of return of the vehicle by calling the driver well in advance.

2. To ensure that it is in fact your car that is being returned to you, show the driver the email code that was sent to you when you dropped it off.

3. Please note that the driver can wait for you at the meeting point at the agreed time for a maximum of 10 minutes. Read less
