HOW IT WORKS: This is a valet parking service. Drive to the pick-up point at the address indicated on your booking and the valet parking company staff will pick up your vehicle and take it to a nearby public car park in Amsterdam, where it will remain until you request for it to be returned.
And remember! This is just the meeting point with the driver who will pick up your vehicle :)
We realise finding parking near Amsterdam Museum can be difficult so, to help you avoid any trouble trying to find a parking space in this busy area, we recommend our valet service. You can opt for a 6-hour or 12-hour stay or, alternatively, a full day, for as many as 30 days. So, whether you are just dropping in, here for the day or having a longer break, we want to help make your life easier! Simply, drive straight to the Amsterdam Museum and a professional driver will take care of your car, moving it to a safe and secure, guarded car park just outside the city centre. Parking in Amsterdam has never been so easy!
If you want to learn all there is to know about the people, culture and history of Amsterdam, you have come to the right place! The museum offers a great variety of ways to discover the free-thinking, free-spirited world of the capital. The Amsterdam DNA is an interactive exhibition that doesn’t just inform but gives you a deep understanding of the route taken by the city’s people to arrive where they are today; a creative and open society that continues to thrive!
If you are travelling with children you could take the free Amsterdam DNA Family Tour or have a look at The Little Orphanage. The building was originally an orphanage so they have created a hands-on experience to give the children a taste of what life was like as a 17th century orphan.
Next door is the Begijnhof, a well known almshouse, a serene square bordered by some beautiful gothic façades which used to be the home to the Beguines, a collective of unmarried women who lived under a vow of chastity. Amongst these houses is the Houten House, the oldest house in Amsterdam and the Begijnhofkapel. Some other good places to visit in the area are the Amsterdam Dungeons, the flower market and the Theater De Engelenbak for some innovative theatre.
