The Massena museum in Nice is a museum of local history, facing the Promenade des Anglais, which runs along whole beach of Nice in the southern area of the city. It was in 1919, that the villa (founded in 1890), was given to the Massena family to transform the villa into local museum. Around the museum, you can also find the bibliothèque de Cessole as well as the museum’s gardens, that were reorganised in 2008.
You have to access the Massena museum by the rue de France. Nearby, you can go to the Promenade des Anglais and Neptune Plage, which are located on the other side of the Massena museum’s gardens.
If you enjoy walking, then we equally advise you certain points of interest: the Saint-Pierre d’Arene church, the church library of Holy Trinity, or even the Alsace-Lorraine garden (between the boulevard Gambetta and the boulevard Victor Hugo).
