Look for parking in Vieux-Nice

Vieux-Nice (Old Nice) is the historical district in Nice. Although its monuments, theatres and small, winding streets are fascinating, they certainly don’t make for easy parking. For this reason, Parclick recommends finding a car park near Vieux Nice.

The district called Vieux-Nice extends from Jardin Albert I to the Port de Nice. This is the historical district of Nice which lies at the foot of the the hill at Nice Castle, with its park, panoramic view and Jewish cemetery.

Exploring Vieux-Nice will captivate you; as well as its many restaurants and bars, the old town is full of theatres, such as Théâtre de la Semeuse or Théâtre Francis Gag, and religious structures like l’Église Sainte Rita, Cathédrale Sainte Réparate and Chapelle de la Miséricorde de Nice.

You can also admire the Tour de l’Horloge (clock tower) which looks out over the Palais d´York, the Rusca barracks, the Opéra Nice Côte d’Azur, Palais de Justice and Place Pierre Gautier, where you will find the prefecture’s palace and the Chapelle de la Miséricorde.

All of these monuments, plus many more, are found in the Nice’s historical district. We recommend climbing Castle Hill, from which you can see out over the bay, Vieux-Nice and the rest of the city.

After a busy day of exploration, you may want to relax in the Place Georges Pompidou, on Nice beach or walking along the Quai des États-Unis (a continuation of the famous Promenade des Anglais).

There are two tram stops in Vieux-Nice, so you can leave your car in our Nicetoile car park and carry on by using public transport. Alternatively, you could go on foot, stopping by Place Masséna and Promenade du Paillon on your way.
