Where to park in Plaza de Colón

The Plaza de Colón (Columbus Square) is not only one of the most characteristic sites in Madrid, it is also a habitual walking path for every visitor. Here, you will find streets with so much history and so much to see, like the Paseo de la Castellana and Velázquez, which you have definitely walked by if you´ve been to Madrid before. At the very least, you will have seen the street from afar. Do you know why? Because the street has the largest Spanish flag in all the world. So, now you will remember having passed by here before.

Colón is also an ideal place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Madrid. It is a very calm and relaxing spot where you can go shopping, feed the pigeons, eat an ice cream cone or stop and tie your shoes. You will find yourself emptying your wallet in the many stores in Serrano.

If you are looking for high fashion and glamour, go to the EL site. Serrano has everything: Loewe, Zara, El Corte Inglés, and, of course, Chanel. Mhhhh, you caught us, but Chanel is in close by Lagasca. Don´t worry, if your plan is to shop, simply leave your car in Colón and you will see that you are right next to Serrano. At Parclick, we encourage you to reserve your parking space from your house for as much time as you need, confident knowing that your car is in safe hands.

Shopping isn´t your thing?

So, you don´t enjoy shopping and the word “shop” to you is nothing more than a task to survive. Well, you´re in luck because Colón has much more to see than a large flag and a statue of Columbus. If you are one of those people who reads a book while standing up in a bus, you are about to flip out because the National Library is only a two-minute walk away. We will leave you there. The palace of books. Shelves upon shelves of books from the past to today. If you are someone who drools watching Hermione Granger in the Hogwarts library, this is your moment.

Reading is all well and good; however, if you enjoy music, don´t worry because the mythic international franchise, Hard Rock Café, has a store right beside Plaza de Colón. There, you can kill two birds with one stone by enjoying the music while chomping down on the most appetizing burgers in Madrid.

If you don´t like any of that, it is because you don´t like anyone. You have to acknowledge that you are a little strange. But that´s okay, because Colón is still a great place for you with the Cera Museum. You are one of those people who has watched over and over again the fleeting famous wax reproductions and you have rolled over with laughter, right? Now is your time to see it in real life. On your walk, you will see street sculptures like the Rana de la Suerte and the Venus Espejo, which are a little peculiar.

Whichever plan you choose, don´t forget that Madrid is regulated by the SER parking system and you cannot park your car for more than two hours. With Parclick, you have the opportunity to reserve a spot in a parking garage with only a click for however long you want. Also, you can choose the parking you like and we promise you that your car will be in good hands.
