Parking in El Born

Now parking here can be pretty tough, since a lot streets aren’t wide enough for cars, as well as many of the areas that are big enough have been made into pedestrian only zones. 

Then if you do find somewhere to park, you of course have to take into account which zone it’s in. Zones? What zones? Well, Barcelona’s centre is divided into two parking zones… the green zone and the blue zone. You can park in the green one for 2 hours, and the blue one for a maximum of 4 hours… before you have to move you car, so it’s hardly ideal if you want to spend your day enjoying the wonders of the Catalan capital.

El Born Barcelona is located between the well-known Vía Laietana and the Barceloneta. Although it’s not a very centrally located place in Barcelona, you can still walk to the beach or another area of Barcelona. 

In the Passeig de Born, you can find all kinds of bars and restaurants, as well as some pretty upscale and trendy stores. So it’s a pretty buzzing place to be. In fact, some of the most famous attractions in Barcelona are located in this neighbourhood. Just some of them are the Picasso Museum, the famous Santa María del Mar church, the old El Born Market and the Textile Museum. And, as if that wasn’t enough, the Ciutadella park is in this are too, at this fantastic park you’ll find a zoo, so it’s a bit more than your average patch of grass and a few shrubs!
