This 2.5 km Parisian boulevard run between the 8th and 9th Arrondissements, so it really is in the heart of the French capital! It’s the perfect place to be based to explore the wonders hiding around every corner in the City of Love. But there is something that isn’t quite as enjoyable as Paris and that’s trying to find parking in Paris! Finding somewhere to park in such a sort-after location can be an absolute nightmare, especially with the 2 hour parking limit... but there is a solution! With Parclick you can book your parking in advance somewhere you want to be parked, and for however long you want to stay there - pretty great right?
The tree lined boulevard was constructed under Napoleon, and now is home to great shopping in the French capital and some lovely architecture - notice the clean lines of the top of the buildings, which are all at the exact same height.
If you’re a Proust fan then you’ll be interested to know that the celebrated French novelist lived at number 102 Boulevard Haussman from 1871 to 1922.
Along the street you will be able to find the Apple Store and the Opera Palais Garnier. But for the serious shop-a-holics the highlight of the street has to be the Galaries Lafayette, which has to be one of the most beautiful shops in the world. It has the most incredible domed glass roof, with stained glass and the most grandiose of interiors - it really has to be seen to be believed. Perhaps peruse the food court, or go up to the roof where you’ll find a bar and restaurant with a view across the capital.
The street is an easy walk away from the Louvre, as well as the Olympia Bruno Coquatrix venue. We told you it was central!
You can also get to the Boulevard Haussman easily by public transport, the street is lined with metro stations: Saint-Augustin (line 9), Chaussée d’Antin-La Fayette (line 7 and 9) and Grand Boulevards (lines 8 and 9).
This bustling street is filled with gems! Go check it out :)
