As its name suggests, the Garage Poniatowski car park is situated on boulevard Poniatowski, just a five-minute walk from the Palais de la Porte Dorée. The Palais de la Porte Dorée is located on the edge of the Bois de Vincennes. It was built in 18 months for the International Colonial Exhibition of 1931 by the French architect Albert Laprade. It is today home to the national immigration history centre, the national museum of immigration history and cultures, the tropical aquarium, the Abdelmalek Sayad media library and an auditorium. You can take part in a guided tour which will take you from the building’s esplanade to its historical rooms, not forgetting the grand hallway or the former function hall. The Palais de la Porte Dorée can be visited without reservation from Tuesday to Friday from 10 AM to 5:30 PM and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 7 PM.
