The Arab World Institute (shortened to IMA in French) is a cultural institute in the 5th arrondissement. All right, you'll have guessed it all by yourself, but we don't see how else to sum it up, since we can find everything in this 10-storey, 26,900-square-metre building: a library, a museum, a bookstore, three restaurants (Zyriab, the literary café and the Mushabiah self), a theatre, etc.

You can also take language courses (Arabic, of course), participate in workshops or guided tours...In short, it seems that everything related to culture, including gastronomy, has been arranged at the Institute. No one’s gonna complain about that, right?

The IMA is located at 1, rue des Fossés Saint-Bernard, between the Tino-Rossi Garden, the Place Institut du Monde Arabe and the Pierre and Marie Curie University. It is also a stone's throw from Boulevard Saint-Germain and the Sully Bridge, which connects the Left Bank with Île Saint-Louis. In terms of public transport, the Institute is fairly well connected since it is next to several bike renting stations and bus stops. Not to mention that the Jussieu station is served by the metro line 7, and the Cardinal Lemoine station by the line 10.
