Saint-Antoine Hospital is a university hospital east of Paris. It is managed by the establishment Assistance publique - Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP). It is located rue du Faubourg-Saint-Antoine (the latter connects the Place de la Nation and the Place de la Bastille).
It was originally an abbey, but after the fall of the Ancien Régime, the Abbey of Saint-Antoine-des-Champs gave way to the Hospice de l'Est, then the "Hôpital Saint-Antoine" from 1802. Today it has several centres of specialisation, including cardiology, neurology and ophthalmology.
