Where to park in The Saint-Martin Canal

Would you like a relaxing stroll down the Saint-Martin Canal? You are right, and you will enjoy your walk all the better as your car will be safely parked in a secure car park in Paris

The 4.55 km long Canal Saint-Martin is located between the 10th and 11th arrondissements of Paris. It connects the Bassin de la Villette to the Port de l'Arsenal. Part of the canal is underground and does not appear on Google Maps. If you walk along the canal - which we recommend - you will pass along several basins like Bassin des Morts, the Bassin Louis-Blanc, the Bassins des Récollets, the Bassin des Marais and the Bassin du Combat. These different basins are separated by about ten locks.

To go from one bank to the other, just cross one of the numerous bridges like the Eugène-Varlin Bridge, which may interest you if you go to the Saint-Louis Hospital.

The Saint-Martin Canal is next to one of the points of Paris Plages, at the Bassin de la Villette. This will allow you to get some exercise before sunbathing and eating a sandwich (yes, we're sticking to that sandwich)
