Where to park in Musée d'Orsay

Art lover? Well check out the Musée d’Orsay - an art lover’s paradise

Parking in the city of love is anything but lovely … after having spent time and effort carefully stalking your prey, you pounce - you’ve got it! You have a parking space, but wait, only for 2 hours before you have to start the whole laborious task all over again, not to mention that parking in Paris doesn’t come cheap either! But is there a solution? Of course there is! Parclick! With Parclick you can book your parking in advance so you can decide where you want to be parked, for how long and how much you want to pay - sounds like the dream parking deal, right?

A must see in Paris!

This former train station saw a new lease of life after the platforms soon became unsuitable with the continual modernisation of trains. But, the building was saved! All in the name of art. In 1986, it was decided that its fantastic location, opposite the Louvre on the bank of the Seine, to bridge Paris’ artistic gap - between the antiquities on show at the Louvre and the striking modern at the Centre Pompidou

It really is a must see for anybody interested in art in the French Capital. It showcases art between 1846-1914. So you really can do a time line of the most iconic pieces of art in one day. Here you’ll find the works of Monet, Degas, Rénoire and van Gogh lining the corridors, and even if you’re not so much into art, you’re sure to recognise some of these famous names ;) The Museum also houses the world’s largest collection of post impressionist and impressionist pieces. Something that can really help you get so much more out of your visit is to purchase an audio guide for around €5, and believe us, it will really open your eyes to the details, stories and pieces that you just would have missed otherwise. Take it as a Parclick top tip ;)

Ticket prices do vary, if you are lucky enough to be a resident of an EU member state between 18-25 then your entry is free, plus entry is free for everybody on the first Sunday of every month. But the general price for a ticket to the Musée d’Orsay is €12, which is still a steal when you consider the sheer breadth of art available like Realism, Art Nouveau, Symbolism. It really is unmissable!

Getting there, the metro line 12 to Solférino, as well as the RER line C to the conveniently named Musée d’Orsay. As well as loads of bus services (24, 63, 68, 69, 73, 83, 84, 94). So it’s so easy to get to and park near, so what’s your excuse? Book your parking in Paris now!
