Where to park in Forum des Halles - Châtelet

The Forum des Halles is located in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, in the centre of the capital. It is the 3rd most visited shopping centre in France, so, as you can imagine, parking there is a real challegne.  Whether you are going shopping, to view an exhibition, or passing by Châtelet – Les Halles to take public transport, parking near the Forum des Halles will be complicated, unless your reserve your parking space beforehand. After demolishing les Halles in 1971, it was nicknamed “le trou des Halles” and was reformed in 2016.  It was replaced by a huge shopping centre, built on 5 levels, where you will find an abundance of shops. The Forum des Halles schedule is very convenient, as it is open Monday to Saturday from 10 AM to 8 PM and 11 AM to 7 PM on Sundays. The Canopée area includes varied structures which could spark your interest: a conservatory, a hip-hop centre, a library, an amateur practice workshop as well as a cultural centre for the deaf and hard of hearing.

Other than the Chambre du commerce de l’industrie (CCI), which is located next to the Forum des Halles, you will also find many shops in the rue de Rivoli. If you enjoy culture visits, you can go visit the Centre Pompidou which is only a 5-minute walk away from the Forum des Halles. Otherwise, in a 10-minute walk, you can reach the Louvre museum or view one of the temporary exhibitions at the Hôtel de Ville.
