Where to park in The best rooftop bars to visit in the build up to summer

One of the best things about the summer months in Madrid is undoubtedly the rooftop bars! The sun is shining, you’re in 30-degree heat, nothing beats having a refreshing cocktail in your hand while you soak up the rays in the trendy Spanish capital.

We thought it would be handy to just give you a few recommendations of our favourite rooftop bars in Madrid. After all, if you’re just there for a few days, you want to be sure that you’re going to only the best places.

Firstly, there’s one place that you CANNOT miss on your trip to Madrid. It goes by the name of the Círculo de Bellas Artes. This is located in Calle de Alcalá, just off Gran Vía. The building itself is dedicated mainly to art, but if it’s a mojito you want, head straight to the top floor. You can get your ticket at the entrance of the building – it’s 4€ to enter. You wouldn’t believe the views that this small fee can buy you! With chilled tunes and stunning views, you’re sure to enjoy this gem of a rooftop bar.

Now, for something a little different but equally amazing, you’ll want to head to the GYMAGE Lounge Resort. This is located in Plaza de la Luna, also just off Gran Vía. As you can perhaps guess from the name, the building itself is a gym. The gym is a little pricey but very modern, just like the rooftop. Luckily, you don’t need a gym membership to be able to access the rooftop. Up there, you’ll find a pool that you can use in the summer months too! You should definitely check out this rooftop and its unique style.

Next, we want to suggest something cool and casual and a bit low key. Located in the La Latina area, quite near the metro station, you’ll find the quirky El Viajero restaurant. This is a great option as it’s free to go in, all you have to pay for is your drinks. All you have to do is enter and if you’re lucky you might not even have to wait.

For a fancy experience, try El Paracaidista near the Tribunal metro stop. This is a super cool building which has different types of shops inside and even a cinema, but of course what we’re talking about is rooftop bars. If you go all the way to the top floor, you’ll find yourself at the restaurant and bar which is a delightful treat when the sun is shining.

Our last recommendation to you is the Gourmet Experience Gran Vía which is found in the building of the Corte Inglés in the Plaza del Callao. This rooftop has incredible views, letting you see the famous Madrilenian Gran Vía. What’s better than catching a few rays with a mojito in hand after a stressful day of shopping in Madrid?

Of course, these are not the only rooftop bars in Madrid, just merely a few recommendations. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do ;)
